Meet your driver and transfer to Mysore. On arrival check in to your hotel. Afternoon , Explore the main tourist attraction of Mysore - The Mysore Palace, an incredibly opulent structure that is one of the most impressive palaces in the world. You'll be amazed by its sheer size, the incredible richness of its interior, and the beautiful facade of this Indo-Saracenic architectural gem. It was the seat of the Maharajas of Mysore, and the current version was commissioned in 1897 and finished by British architect Henry Irwin in 1912. Drive up the hill to the temple of Chamundeswari, Mysore’s patron goddess. The 12th century temple overlooks the city and has several granite statues of Nandi (The Bull), including one that is over 15 feet high and 24 feet long. After the temple you pay a visit to St. Philomena’s church, one of the largest churches in India. Built in 1933, its design was based on the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. Most visitors marvel at the Victorian Gothic architecture of this active place of worship. At the end of the day, before returning to your hotel, you will enjoy a walk through the local flower and fruit market. |

Description | After breakfast you will proceed on the drive to Nagarhole National Park. Arrive at Nagarhole and check into your resort. Located on the banks of the picturesque Kabini River, Nagarhole is one of India’s premier wildlife parks and safaris into the park are always rewarding. Spread over 643 sq. kilometers, elevations of this lush jungle range from 2250 feet to over 3100 feet. There is a large elephant population and multiple sightings are common. The park also offers South India’s best chance of tiger and leopard sightings, as well as the third predator that thrives in the park, the wild dog. The most common prey for these predators, deer (spotted deer, sambar, four horned antelope, and barking deer) are obviously found in large numbers. Crocodiles are fairly easy to spot, as are wild boar. Jackals, sloth bears, striped hyenas and the grey mongoose can sometimes be spotted. Description | Morning check out from your resort and drive to Bandipur. Bandipur National park is located in the Nilgiris and is the first Biosphere Reserve in India. Spread over 874 sq. km, the park is replete with a wide range of endangered wildlife like elephants, hornbills, deer’s, pythons, sloth bears, pythons, panthers etc. and multitudes of teak and sandalwood trees. It was once the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Mysore, later established as a reserve in 1974 under Project Tiger and these deciduous forests rich in wildlife have become a popular tourist attraction since then. Parambikulam Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Palakkad district of Kerala, is best known for its constant efforts to preserve the dwindling tiger population. Surrounding hills and river along with flora and fauna make it the perfect place for a trek and safari. The Parambikulam Tiger Reserve is the most protected ecological terrain of the Western Ghats. Endowed with peninsular vegetation and wildlife, this destination has minimum human interference. Some of the most prized animals found here include lion-tailed macaques, Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, wild boars, sloths, king cobra, Travancore kukri snake, and the Western Ghats flying lizard among others. Description | Morning, visit Eravikulam National park. Eravikulam National Park houses a rich and diverse variety of flora and fauna and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Also known as Rajamalai Wildlife Sanctuary. Eravikulam National Park is the first of its kind located in Munnar, Kerala. It is Kerala’s first national park. This park is famous for its collection of tahr. Nilgiri tahr is a goat like species that is endangered. Afternoon proceed for a guided trek at Tea plantations in Munnar .Will start our trek through the tea plantations for about 30 to 40 minutes, and we will reach the ridge of the hill and rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, it will be through grasslands, one side will be rocky mountain slope and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest etc…, if the sky is clear we could see the Anaimudi “highest peak in S. India” and the reservoir of Idukki Dam which is it is one of the highest arch dams in Asia and third tallest dam in India. We will have refreshment/picnic lunch at any suitable place during the trek, and after we will be passing through Nature Zone where we can see some Coffee, Cardamom plantations etc…, also its one of the best places to spot some endemic birds of this part of Western Ghats. Will have another 40 minutes to 01 hours walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 1950 meters MSL (approx.) .Vehicle will be waiting at the finishing point at around 5th kilometers or 8th kilometers from Munnar towards Mankulam road (depending on the duration we chose) |

Arrive at Thekkady and you are assisted with your check-in to your scenic nature resort – Periyar forest Bunglow one of the only private estates deep inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Accommodation is in simple but comfortable and stylish lodging by a perennial stream, overlooking the jungle. For people who love the outdoors and nature there is no better place to be to experience the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The estate is a haven for wildlife that roams freely as they are undisturbed and protected on the estate. It is common sight to see elephants who come to the stream below the bungalow. Sighting of Gaurs and Sambars are common in addition to numerous small and large animals. During the nesting season the Pied Hornbill is often sighted. Wildlife experience at the Forest Bungalow is by either jeep or on foot exploring the estate. For people interested in birds you don’t need go far... just sitting on the lawns is good enough! |

Description | Morning proceed for a jeep safari through estate. This is the only place where you could experience the wildlife of Periyar Tiger Reserve in a jeep. The morning game drive starts at about 6am with tea/coffee served at the Lodge before you start. You drive along the estate paths and along the jungle for about 3 hours. The vehicle used will be jeeps and you will have a service of a naturalist to accompany you for the drive. Afternoon experience plantation visit Periyar Forest Bungalow is situated in one of the oldest cardamom plantations in the cardamom hills. Started in early 1920`s the plantation has thrived during the time it was with the colonial planters and still does with the families that own. The plantation around the Bungalow is mainly cardamom and looked after lovingly. One of the good things about cardamom is that it needs shade hence the age-old trees of the forest are also looked after as they are essential for the good growth of the plant and a decent harvest. You will be taken on a tour of the estate by foot and be shown the way the farming is done. You can see the workers picking, processing and drying the cardamom. Evening proceed for a nature walk through the estate with a naturalist. The estate is located in the core zone of the Periyar Tiger Reserve and hence we do get a variety of birds and animals wandering in the property. The walk for a duration of about 2-3 hours is a rewarding experience as you will get to see the jungle walking up. The estate is home to some endangered species like the Lion tailed Macaque and the splendid Great pied Hornbill that often nests in the estate during breeding time. You often get to see a lot right from the comforts of the bungalow either from the lawns or the deck. |
